Our Heritage: Practical insights

Ballinasloe Municipal District Office in partnership with Galway County Council and Ballinasloe Tidy Towns is holding a series of 4 free mornings of lectures for the general public and Tidy Towns Groups, of which 2 have already hapopened and 2 are left. The aim of this free lecture series is to increase awareness, knowledge and understanding of our rich heritage and the need to protect and safeguard it. It is a practice lecture series and seeks to inform the general public of heritage best practice when dealing with projects in the local area that may encounter heritage. The lectures will be held in the Upper Floor of Galway County Council Office in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.  The following is the list of times left for lectures:

Wednesday 2nd July 10am – 12.30pm

11.30am – 12.30pm Planning Heritage Trails by Zena Hoctor

 

Thursday 3rd July 10am – 12.30pm

10am-11am Insights into our Engineering Heritage by Paul Duffy

 11am-11.30am Coffee

11.30am – 12.30pm Accessible Archaeology within a half hour drive of Ballinasloe by Dr. Christy Cunniffe
